What drops Damask? - Guild Wars Forums

Wanting to craft a new set of Assassin armour, but to do it I'm going to need 8 bolts of Damask. The rare material trader wants 500g for each one, I'm flat out not going to pay that price - it's utterly ridiculous; the damask alone will cost 8k when the armour set is around 2k.

Where is this dropped? It's not on the wiki.

AFAIK nothing drops damask. You'll have to craft it, from plant fibers and glittering dust (take a wild guess why the price of plant fibers has skyrocketed).

I've actually made decent amounts of cash from farming plant fibers, glittering dust, and scales, to sell to the materials merchant. They pay better than most rare crafting materials now (140 - 150 gold per 10 scales/fibers).

Nothing drops it, and I've never salvaged any either. All the damask I've ever had I had to either purchase or craft.

and if you want to farm plant fibers your best bet is to farm it from the Thorn Stalkers in Ettin's Back or get some from a guildie for free :P
